THE "GREAT DAY OF POWER"
The "Great Day of Power" services in South Africa in 2009 were held in Lesotho on Friday and Saturday, February 20th and 21st, and in Johannesburg on Sunday, February 22nd.
There were throngs of people at each service from all walks of life. They came in all forms of transpoortation, by bus, car, and some even walked great distances. The services opened with much dancing and singing as thousands worshiped God with joy and gladness and prepared their hearts to receive and experience the miraculous power of God.
The favor of the Lord was released greatly upon these services from start to finish. Weeks before Bishop Angelo’s arrival, the evangelism team went out spreading the word about the services. With faith ignited in every heart, the people were filled with much hope for changes in their lives as they looked forward to the Great Day of Power.
So it was with great anticipation that two radio stations and one TV station took turns interviewing Bishop Angelo about this upcoming “Great day of Power” service. They wanted the people to know that God was giving them an opportunity to experience His power in their lives.
With the power of God released upon the lives of the people, Friday, February 20th, and Saturday, February 21st, saw the people of Lesotho basking in the glory of the Lord. Great testimonies of healing, deliverance and salvation were reaped for the glory of God.
In addressing the people of Lesotho, Pastor Angelo spoke saying, “Believing right and looking out for your blessings makes you a perfect candidate to receive God’s blessing, causing you to walk out of that shame.”
The people of South Africa were no different in making themselves the perfect candidate to receive God’s blessings. On Sunday, February 22nd, like the people of Lesotho, those in Johannesburg came with great expectation and left with great testimonies–walking out of their shame. The message to them was, “Change your mind sets–stop looking at your situation. Open the door of your heart. Let God step into that situation and you will step out of it. By believing God from where you are, you will walk away from that which is holding you captive.”
In all these services, the miraculous power of God was evident and thousands of lives were touched and transformed. The mission was indeed a tremendous blessing. We thank God for His grace and mercy and for everyone who has helped us to do what we do.
We thank God for touching the hearts of people just like you to help us in our mission of Healing, Deliverance and Salvation. As you continue to participate with us, know that it is your prayers and financial support that has strengthened our wings so we can soar with the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Praises to His name.
